October Newsletter
TLDR: We are keeping Saturday mornings. Tuesdays now include Level 1/2.
Practice Schedule
Please refer to the practice schedule and focus for the days linked below:https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IrNSYxFGNAp5wtRbpTGUhqsOrxii5t__Z0fgntj-5vU/edit?usp=sharing
Since safety is our primary concern in this high impact sport, we are separating the skill groups slightly more by timeshares of practices. If you see “all levels” in the schedule, that means all league skaters, Level 1, 2 and 3 are attending. If you see “charter”, this is only level 3 charter team skaters (i.e. you tried out and were told you made a charter team). Some skaters have not completed level 3 assessments – we will get you caught up on those by the end of 2024!
Coaches ask for your patience as we roll out this new plan, it’s great to have a growing league but of course there are pain points to get where we need to be!
Dues
Please remember to submit dues by the 1st of each month here: https://form.jotform.com/202256113762145
Team Tryouts
Coaches are rolling out the invites to the Level 3 charter teams, please reply to the email to accept or decline ASAP 🙂
Level 2 skills are being worked on and tested as we go for the rest of October. Skaters working towards Level 2 should attend Tues and Sat practices! (See schedule linked above)
(Nov) Fall Mashup
Please see the flyer attached for the Nov 23 mashup signup! All levels 🙂
Turkey Trot (Thanksgiving Morning)
We are planning to sponsor the water station at the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot at Old Settlers Park. Details and sign up to come, but add this to your calendar. It’s early in the morning!
